¿Qué es?
En inglés, Simple Present es el tiempo verbal de presente (y aspecto no perfectivo) que expresa acción habitual, es decir, hábitos, rutinas en la vida cotidiana. Se diferencia del present perfect en que éste último tiene aspecto perfectivo, y del present continuous en que este otro tiene aspecto progresivo.
¿Cómo se forma?
Se forma con la forma base del verbo del infinitivo. Este infinitivo consta de dos partículas: to y la forma base del verbo, así, por ejemplo, to eat es un infinitivo que significa comer.
POSITIVE
The Simple Present demonstrates a habitual action or an everyday activity. The Simple Present of the verb is used with the persons I, You, We, You, They in affirmative sentences.

AUXILIARIES. INTERROGATIVE / NEGATIVE
In English, there are words used as auxiliaries to ask questions when the action word or verb is other different from any of the forms of the verb Be (am, is, are) with the person I, You, We, They. It is necessary to use the auxiliary DO before the person and the verb is in simple form.
Do you want to go shopping?
Do you work in the wrapping department?
Do you cook dinner?
The auxiliary DO is also necessary in negative and affirmative short answers to questions.
Do you want to go shopping? Yes, I do.
Do you work in wrapping department? No, I don’t.
Do you cook dinner? Yes, I do.
Do they celebrate the Holidays? No, they don’t.
In questions with interrogative words or information questions, the auxiliary DO is also necessary with other verbs different from the verb BE.

THIRD PERSON
The English Language has only one declination in the present tense. This declination occurs only with the persons: He, She, It. This is the way the verbs conjugate with these persons:
He works / Runs
She Speaks / Washes
It Watches / Plays
In Affirmative, it is necessary to add S or ES to the verbs. Add ES to the verbs ending O, S, X, SH and CH. Add S to all the other verbs.
